The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has announced a final determination re-authorising the Qantas and Emirates application to continue co-ordinating their operations.
The long-awaited move follows the recent interim determination in favour of the deal and allows the carriers to cooperate for the next 5 years.
The airlines first lodged an application for renewal of the authorisation on 7 Nov 2022, before being granted only an interim determination while the ACCC deliberated.
The new re-authorisation secures the partnership until 28 Sep 2028.
