Fall in passenger numbers dents Rex profit forecast.
Rex has posted a profit after tax of $20.59 million for the 12 months to 30 June, hauling the business out of the red which last year saw a $46.14 million loss after tax result.
A weaker than expected May and June period saw Rex’s return to the black make less of an impact than expected, however, the carrier stated this morning that the trend has improved subsequent to 30 June.
Other key metrics like revenue also roughly doubled from $319.24 million in FY2022 to $642.78 million for the latest financial year.
A full breakdown of Rex’s results will be published in today’s issue of Travel Daily.
