B2B WebBeds division could be separated from consumer arm.
Divergent growth opportunities are behind a proposal revealed by Webjet this morning to create two standalone companies on the ASX.
The company confirmed it is examining demerging its highly successful WebBeds business from its WebjetB2C division, the latter of which includes Webjet OTA, GoSee, and Trip Ninja.
Projected benefits of the separation include two management teams with a tailored focus on growth, independent capital structures, access to new investors, and the ability to respond more quickly to changing travel conditions.
Any potential transaction would take place during the FY25 financial year.
