Strategic brand realignment will bring the curtain down on 90 years of history for P&O Cruises Australia.
Carnival Corporation has today announced it will sunset the P&O Cruises Australia brand in Mar 2025 and fold P&O’s operations into Carnival Cruise Line.
From Mar next year, Pacific Encounter and Pacific Adventure will rebrand as Carnival Cruise Line ships, with Pacific Explorer to exit the fleet and expanding Carnival’s operations in Australia to four ships.
Names for the two rebranded ships are yet to be revealed but both will operate alongside Carnival Splendor – which sails year-round from Sydney – and Carnival Luminosa, which will remain as a seasonal operation from Brisbane.
Current itineraries and operations will remain as usual for now, the company said, with impacted guests to be notified in the coming days of any changes to future bookings.
