One-stop flights to begin this year ahead of planned non-stop service.
Sydney Airport has just announced it will welcome Turkish Airlines to its network of 50 international airlines from 05 Dec 2024, with a four-times weekly service flying via Kuala Lumpur.
Flights will be operated by an Airbus A350-900, with 329 seats including 32 in business class and 297 in economy class.
The route will eventually become a non-stop service once Turkish Airlines takes delivery of its Airbus A350-1000, due late 2026.
Sydney has long been on the radar for Turkish Airlines to build on its existing Melbourne service (via Singapore) but until today, the Istanbul-based carrier had not inked a confirmed start date.
