A new partnership between the two businesses will help Serko grow in North America.
Serko is set to acquire Sabre’s business travel management solution GetThere, the travel technology company has announced, as it targets a total income of $250 million for the 2030 fiscal year.
The acquisition will rapidly increase Serko’s North American presence, where it is set to become the #2 online booking tool provider by volume.
Serko and Sabre will also co-develop and co-invest, as part of a new partnership, which will bring new capabilities to the industry.
The partnership between the two will also incentivise Sabre to co-sell Serko solutions, while the GetThere team members will join Serko in Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, and India.
“The size of the opportunity in North America is signifcant and today’s announcement sets out the most compelling path to deliver long-term value for shareholders, partners, and customers,” Serko co-founder & Chief Executive Officer Darrin Grafton said.
