Embattled carrier wishes to extend date from 30 June to December 2025 to finalise bidders.
Ernst and Young, administrators for regional airline Rex, is applying to the Federal Court of Australia to extend voluntary administration from June to December 2025.
According to a statement this afternoon, on and from 02 June, Ernst & Young have received a number of offers from interested parties in relation to the recapitalisation of the business or its sale process.
Rex’s administrators wish to extend the period of voluntary administration to assess these offers and progress negotiations.
The administrators are also seeking further support and funding from the Federal Government.
