Travel tech start-up hopeful of finding an acquirer after entering into voluntary administration.
Travel booking platform eRoam has entered into voluntary administration, with a marketing campaign now running to encourage interested parties to take a close look at investing in the business.
Chair Martin Cowley confirmed the news to Travel Daily this afternoon, stating that he and the board are now gauging interest from their contacts about the prospect of an acquisition.
Cowley said eRoam has a really strong pipeline and many “clients on approach” in Australia, the Middle East, and Europe, however operating losses associated with building the business had become unsustainable.
The development has seen the majority of its staff become no longer formally employed by the business, including General Manager Commercial and Operations Paul Hole, Product Lead David Hunter, IT and Business Manager Graeme Meacock, Global Head of Commercial Maxine Wiggs, and Regional Sales Manager Issy Limn.
Cowley said the objective is to secure a buyer so that he can bring the team back together.
One of the major selling points of eRoam is its technology that reduces the time to create complex itineraries from six to eight hours to under 10 minutes.
