40 flights to be cancelled on Monday.
Qantas has just advised that on Monday it will cancel 40 flights, delay a further 24 by up to 3.5 hours and bring forward 14 more, due to a four hour strike by its engineers in the afternoon in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
11 international services will be delayed as part of the new schedule, with spokesperson Olivia Wirth apologising to QF customers.
Once again larger aircraft will be used, and management will step into operational roles to keep things going, “however there will still be significant impacts on our passengers,” Wirth said.
The four hour strikes will begin at 3pm in Sydney, 5pm in Melbourne and 4pm in Brisbane, with QF currently contacting affected customers and updated flight details to be available shortly on the Qantas website.
