Royal Brunei goes daily to Melbourne.
Royal Brunei Airlines has just announced an increase in flights from Melbourne, with the current four times per week services increasing to daily from March 2012.
The increase will come just a year after the route was launched, with Melbourne now Royal Brunei’s only Australian destination.
The daily flights will link via Brunei to Melbourne’s top two long-haul markets, the UK and China, and the increase sees the addition of almost 89,000 extra seats a year.
Melbourne Airport ceo Chris Woodruff said the expansion was also a recognition of the “continued growth and strength of Melbourne as an aviation hub and a tourist destination.
“Victoria’s curfew free status provides our airlines’ customers and passengers increased flexibility and convenience and adds to the overall attraction of our great city and state,” he said.
