Rich visual content has become a key way to attract, encourage and inspire customers to book their travel with marketers and graphic designers being urged to make the jump to cloud-based solutions as a means of better managing their digital assets.
Despite surging demand for the use of visual assets, up until now, their management has been haphazard at best, according to Stephan Renard, Director at video agency In The Thicket and distributor of cloud based media management software Wedia.
Renard said that in today’s digital age, companies in the travel industry “not only need to create compelling visual content, they need to be able to easily reuse these assets for different purposes, distribution channels and target markets.”
He argues for brands to adopt a digital asset management (DAM) solution, which provides a centralised and secure library to store, organize and retrieve brand and marketing assets such as images, videos, brochures and logos.
“If you want better ROI on the assets you have, then you need more centralised, quality control particularly if designers and marketers work across platforms, communication channels and in diverse office locations,” Renard said.
