Leading Wholesaler The Africa Safari Co have just returned with this very excited group of Travel Agents. This lucky group travelled on a unique educational to Madagascar and what a fantastic destination. Flying into Tana (Antananarivo) for an 8 day extraordinary adventure. Aside from the Lemurs, Chameleons, Orchids, birds and Baobab trees, all of which we saw in great abundance, we were thrilled by so much more. The country has so much to offer the traveller who is interested in different cultures, different cuisines, and pretty much different everything. Amongst the highlights we saw locals hand casting aluminium pots using only handmade charcoal and a handmade brick furnace, intricate woodwork plus people making hand spun silk thread that they weave into beautiful hats, scarves, bags, jackets etc. and others making paper by pulping the bark and drying in the warm African sun. Madagascar, it is one of the most exciting and interesting destinations and this group can’t wait to go back for more. |
