Five of Australia’s smartest travel agents experienced some of Europe’s most romantic attractions last month when they flew Emirates to France for an exclusive famil courtesy of Rail Plus and French Travel Connection.
Highlights of the 11-day journey included a helicopter transfer from Nice to Monaco, a visit to the Medieval town of Carcassonne, dinner on the Champs Elysees in Paris and a guided tour of the City of Lights. The agents – top graduates of this year’s Rail Experts and French Specialist Program – also enjoyed some of the world’s leading train journeys, including high-speed TGV services between Montpellier and Carcassonne, Narbonne and Paris, and the legendary Eurostar between Paris and London. Rail Plus’ annual Rail Experts training program provides travel agents with a chance to deepen their knowledge of global rail products. This year a total of 35 travel agents were invited to take part in the exclusive program, which for the first time included a series of training modules on France.
