APT gets more personal in Canada-Alaska
Launching its 22nd Canada and Alaska brochure today, APT is highlighting the introduction of Smaller Group Journeys, with a maximum 40 guests.
In recent years, APT land tour groups comprised 48 to 52 passengers, so there will be a significant sense of more personal space, according to APT General Marketing Manager, Debra Fox.
“We continue to fine-tune our holidays and broaden the choices, which we’ve done again here for this very popular destination that has measures of adventure and fabulous scenery,” she said.
The 128-page brochure for 2013 carries 11 Rockies and Alaskan Cruise holidays, three Winter Touring holidays, three Alaskan Journeys, six Eastern Canada Holidays and two new Discovery and Air Cruising tours of the US.
The brochure lists a range of deals including free return flights to Canada worth up to $6,300 a couple, as well as introducing up-close and personal Alaska cruising on board the 114 passenger MS Caledonia Sky for APT Platinum holidays, which are tours and cruises exclusive to Australian and New Zealander clients.
It points to a long list of guaranteed inclusions — all sightseeing, port charges, porterage and tipping on tour and cruises, GoldLeaf Service when travelling onboard the two-day Rocky Mountaineer train journey, premium Verandah Stateroom aboard Inside Passage or East Coast cruise, airport meet and greet service upon arrival, transfers on first and last day in Canada and Alaska, all the must-see sights and attractions on APT’s comprehensive land tours (without incurring any additional costs) plus APT’s popular range of Signature Experiences and Freedom of Choice Inclusions for sightseeing and dining at no extra cost.
This brochure lists 50 touring options over nine locations in APT’s Freedom of Choice Sightseeing Inclusions plan (which includes Alaska options for the first time) as well as Freedom of Choice Dining Inclusions in Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper.
Lead-in package is the 18-day Majestic Rockies and Alaskan Cruise, priced from $9695 per person, twin share.
The price includes 11 days in Canada featuring a two-day VIA Rail journey from Vancouver to Jasper and then touring to Lake Louise, Banff, Kelowna and Whistler before a seven nights’ Alaskan Inside Passage cruise to Glacier Bay, luxury accommodation, 39 meals and Freedom of Choice Dining Inclusions, sightseeing and excursions, transfers, port charges, porterage, tipping on land tour and cruise and Freedom of Choice Sightseeing Inclusions in Banff and Victoria.
Breakfast at the renowned Butchart Gardens in Victoria, visits to Jasper and Banff national parks, guided tour of Vancouver (featuring the spectacular Waterfront), a gondola ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain in Banff National Park, joining a Mountain Heritage Guide for a walk along the shores of the emerald Lake Louise, the Icefields Parkway and an Ice Explorer journey onto the Athabasca Glacier are among the sightseeing activities included in this tour.
