Lodge comfort key to APT’s NT Short Breaks
Exclusive access to the pampered comfort of APT’s five wilderness lodges as well as to indigenous cultural experiences through the Djabulukgu Association and Wunan Foundation head the list of sell benefits of APT’s 2012-13 Northern Territory Short Breaks brochure.
Kings Canyon Wilderness Lodge, Hawk Dreaming Wilderness Lodge, Mitchell Falls Wilderness Lodge, Bell Gorge Wilderness Lodge and Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge all offer ensuite bathroom facilities.
Again, over 100 tours are featured in the brochure — ranging from half-day to 14-day durations.
They are designed for travellers who want flexibility and independence, but with the expert knowledge of local guides, says APT General Manager Marketing, Debra Fox.
Most tours offer a choice of accommodation, in some cases seven styles and budgets.
The brochure covers Alice Springs, Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, Watarrka National Park (Kings Canyon), Nitmiluk National Park (Katherine), Darwin, Kakadu National Park, Arnhem Land, Litchfield National Park, The Ghan, 4WD touring in the Kimberley to Mitchell Falls and Purnululu (Bungle Bungle) National Park.
Lead-in tour is the 5-day Red Centre Classic Sights, priced from $1420 per person, twin share which includes touring, accommodation in Alice Springs, Ayers Rock and Kings Canyon, guided sightseeing and Sounds of Silence Dinner.
It carries an earlybird 30% discount on a companion’s tour price for any APT Red Centre or Top End package of two days or more, or a 15% discount for single traveller. Bookings must be made before March 31 for travel before December 31, 2012.
