This month 40 agents from Victoria and NSW flew to the Kimberley region in Western Australia as part of Australia’s North West Tourism’s annual Mega Famil.
Divided into five groups the agents enjoyed a range of different experiences from touring Roebuck Bay on a hovercraft , to trying their hand at traditional spear fishing on the Dampier Peninsula . Others headed to the amazing retreats of Eco Beach Resort, Home Valley Station and El Questro .
Enjoying a range of accommodation and tours, as well as having the opportunity to sightsee, swim, and bushwalk amongst some of the most spectacular scenery in Australia the agents experienced the best of what the Kimberley has to offer during the four day famil.
From camel rides along Cable Beach to listening to hiking to the water droplet waterfall at Emma Gorge, the agents participated in a wide range of activities during their stay in the Kimberley.
The Sydney and Melbourne markets are key markets for the tourism visitation to this region, and by experiencing the region first hand provides the agents with a much better opportunity to promote and sell the destination to their clients. The agents were all greatly impressed with the attractions in the region and the outstanding product on offer. Many of them were first-time visitors, and they left as ambassadors for the Kimberley.
This event has become an annual event on the calendar for Australia’s North West Tourism, with agents on the East Coast now vying for the opportunity to be included in this sort-after program.
