ASIA group tour specialists Wendy Wu Tours recently operated their inaugural group tour to Myanmar after being absent from the country for 3 years.
Staff accompanied the Australian travellers to see first-hand how the country has adapted to changes over recent years.
The 12-day tour included highlights such as the ancient city of Bagan, the community of monks at Mandalay, the Pindaya Caves with its thousands of golden Buddha images and the stilt houses of Inle Lake.
Myanmar Product Coordinator Justine Grant said that the experience was unique. From exploring the incredible golden Shwedagon Pagoda, taking in the view from the top of Taung Kalat at Mt Popa and watching the sun set over the temples of Bagan, it was an unforgettable experience. The spiritual people of Myanmar were very welcoming and always curious to know where you were from and what your impressions were of their country.
