BCD Travel staff member runs 780km Last month Scott Orchard from BCD Travel ran from Canberra to Melbourne through some of Australia’s toughest countryside, including over the summit of Australia’s highest mountain, Mt Kosciuszko, in 11 days. Scott has been running marathons for over 20 years and ultra marathons for the past five. The main purpose of this feat was to raise funds for Reclink, an organisation that provides social and sporting programs for those experiencing social disadvantage such as homelessness, mental illness and drug/alcohol related issues. Scott completed the entire route and has raised over $10,000 with the support of family, friends, the community and the travel industry including that of Choice Hotels, who generously assisted with some accommodation en route.
