CORPORATE Travel Management did it in style yesterday, hosting 57 major corporate accounts to a lavish Melbourne Cup lunch at the InterContinental Sydney Hotel. CTM took over the entire top floor of Club InterContinental which is normally reserved for elite guests staying at the hotel. From the 32nd floor, the party- goers had sweeping views of spectacular Sydney Harbour as they downed bubbly and tucked into expensive French Foie Gras, Queensland scallops, hand made sushi, King Crab, caviar & Wagyu beef while watching the race. The two event sponsors, Virgin Australia and Hertz provided prizes which included a Mini Minor convertible for two days, and flights for two to the Gold Coast, plus a Mercedes with Virgin Australia. CTMs prize was apt – a suitcase in the company’s colours and the InterContinental gave one night’s accom in their Australia Suite.
