From January to May 2013, there was a 3.3% increase in Australian visitors to Mauritius. Australia is the 10th largest source market for the country.
Alison Roberts Brown, Regional Director in Australia, said “with the recent launch of the third weekly Air Mauritius flight from Perth, timing of the roadshow could not be better. We are excited to meet with the trade and get them excited about the many colourful facets of Mauritius.”
Visitors to Mauritius are fascinated by the contrast of colours, cultures and tastes that make this island paradise in the Indian Ocean. Named after Dutch Prince Maurice Van Nassau, Mauritius offers unparalleled luxury with 4 and 5 star resorts, world renowned spas, championship golf courses, adventure activities, surfing, diving, sailing, European shopping and much more. Tourists often find themselves in a state of delight and surprise as they tour this incredibly culturally diverse tropical paradise. |
