Mantra on the Esplanade is used to welcoming top dignitaries including the Prime Minister, Julia Gillard and the Governor General, Quentin Bryce. However October saw the property welcome the likes of former Australian Prime Minister John Howard who was in Darwin for the 10th Anniversary of the tragic Bali Bombings, as well as Mike Munro, of 60 Minutes fame and who can forget the crooner Khamal with the catchphrase “Why are people so unkind?”….
As a part of the Northern Territory’s October Business Month, the leadership team were lucky enough to listen to one of Australia’s greatest bowlers and well-loved sportsmen, Glenn McGrath who spoke on Leadership, Motivation and Performing Under Pressure. He didn’t disappoint with some fabulous Boony stories, which I am sure were censored for public ears. The team got up and close with the cricketer who was gracious enough to have his picture taken with us although he towered about 5 feet above the rest of us!
The team embrace rubbing shoulders with top Australians, and their top customer service keeps the stars coming back for more.
