Sponsored by Atout France and Air France, 150 guests gathered at Guillaume at Bennelong on Friday 17 May to launch La Maison du Thé, the first brand of premium French handcrafted tea distributed in Australia.
Air France was very proud to present, ‘Elegance in the Skies’ where models were showcasing during the launch luncheon a rare collection of vintage Air France uniforms from the 1930s, flown from Paris especially for the event and for the first time in Sydney. Throughout its history, Air France has called on the creative greats of France, not only in the world of design to define its use of space, but also for its uniforms, with Christian Dior, Christian Lacroix or Nina Ricci. The challenge was always gravely accepted and in 70 years of air travel, the uniforms came to be regarded as representative fragments of the best talent available in the world’s fashion capital.
Throughout La Maison du Thé’s launch, the heat went up when Les Schirato, Ambassador of St Tropez, presented a cheeky and elegant fashion show of ERES swimwear’s, a French luxury brand.
To conclude, Patrick Benhamou, Regional Director of the French Tourist Bureau in Sydney announced in exclusivity that the best Chef in the world, Alain Ducasse will be coming to Australia for the opening Gala Dinner of the France Workshop 2014, in Sydney on 2 September, Melbourne on 3 September and Auckland on 5 September 2014.”
