Last night Virgin Australia, Etihad Airways and Air NZ hosted a ‘Celebration Roadshow’ on the Air New Zealand Skydeck in the carrier’s Sydney office. As well as festive refreshments, the pre-Christmas event also included presentations about the airlines’ products as well as lucky door prizes of trans-Tasman flights and the opportunity to enter a major prize draw for round the world business class tickets for two people flying SYDAUH- LHR-LAX-SYD on V Australia, Etihad and Air NZ. AND things also really started to heat up last night at a function hosted by Air New Zealand, Virgin Australia and Etihad to celebrate their alliance (p7). The event included a rooftop barbecue at the Air NZ office in Sydney – and unfortunately some of the smoke drifted into an alarm, meaning the fire brigade turned up. However the firey’s time wasn’t wasted, because they were enlisted to pose for a series of photos while they made sure there was no blaze.
