Love is in the air at Travellers Choice’s Perth head office. Either that or there’s something in the water because four of the company’s employees are now sporting engagement rings.
The collective journey to the altar started in January 2011 when Marketing Coordinator – Cruise Club, Katie Richards, was presented with an engagement ring, then in August Assistant Accountant Lisa Verhagen’s partner of five years popped the question. Four months later Jayne Bowles, Marketing Coordinator – Member Marketing, received her proposal in front of fellow diners on the top of KL Tower in Kuala Lumpur and finally in late January Marketing Supervisor Erin Putland watched as her partner got down on one knee on an icy platform atop the Aiguille du Midi mountain in the French Alps. “I couldn’t feel my hands,” says Erin, “but I still took my glove off for a split second so he could slip the ring on my finger.” Meanwhile, Travellers Choice Sales Development Manager Leith Poad has just become the proud mum of a baby girl, Chelsea Susan Poad (3.1kg).
