The first Germany Roadshow in Australia came to an end in Melbourne last Thursday with a final trivia night held at the Metropolitan Hotel that had 90 attendees. The trivia nights, that also attracted 70 attendees in Brisbane and 110 in Sydney, covered everything from the Brandenburg Gate to Mercedes-Benz with prize-winners receiving hotel accommodation in Germany, German wine, German rail passes and weekend car hire.
“I am very happy to see how much interest the events got in the travel world and I hope we gave a great overall impression of the many contrasts in Germany,” said Susann Schwachenwalde, Director of Marketing and Sales Office Australia.
The German National Tourist Office and Magic Cities combined forces for the Roadshow to educate travel agents on the depth and diversity of product and experience available to travellers in Germany and launch the new travel slogans for the 11 Magic Cities which help distinguish some of the major cities in Germany:

• Dusseldorf – City of Fashion
• Frankfurt – City of Art
• Hamburg – City By the Sea
