Makena Beach & Golf Resort host travel agents from Australia
September 14, 2011
The Makena Beach & Golf Resort, formerly the Maui Prince Hotel, hosted 11 members of the Australian Travel Industry from August 24-26, 2011 as part of Hawaii Tourism Oceania’s annual Experience Aloha Famil in Hawaii.
They are the first travel agents from Down Under to experience the resort’s newly beautified guest rooms and were greeted to a full breakfast buffet at the resort’s Pacific Lawn, the resort’s popular beachfront wedding location. “We are proud to be included in this annual FAM and look forward to welcoming their clients to the ‘new’ Makena,” said Roger Bright, resort Director of Sales. In addition to familiarizing themselves with the resort property, dining options and activities, the participants spent time exploring the island of Maui; which included trips to the famed Mt. Haleakala, a popular sunrise viewing spot.
The travel agents at Makena came from New South Wales, Queensland, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Sydney.
