Mantra Hotels & Resorts has made one lucky conference group from Financial Index Australia very happy with the announcement that Mantra Ambassador and Australian tennis legend Pat Rafter will be the special guest speaker at their company conference in October.
The prize was awarded following Mantra’s recent competition whereby conferences booked by April at any of the Group’s 23 conference properties entered a draw for the coveted prize. The Financial Index Australia company conference, to be held at Mantra Mooloolaba Beach in October, will see over 100 employees gather at the Sunshine Coast conference hotel and resort.

Mantra’s signature Pat Rafter cut-out (seen in all Mantra reception areas) went along for the prize presentation but come October, the real Pat Rafter will take the stage!
“We are really looking forward to gathering at Mantra Mooloolaba Beach and the whole company is so excited that Pat Rafter will be there – it will certainly be a conference to remember!” says Danielle Paterson, National Marketing Manager for Financial Index Australia.
The six month competition received a huge response and attracted hundreds of entries says Mantra’s Senior National Account Manager, Rachael Grimsey: “We really wanted to offer our conference clients that ‘wow factor’ experience which Pat Rafter’s attendance certainly provides – and they responded with overwhelming interest.”
Mantra Mooloolaba Beach, venue for the upcoming Financial Index Australia conference, has put the fun back into conferencing with a brand new “Delegate Reviver Zone” which includes exercise bikes, exercise balls, iPod/iPhone docking stations and headphones, iPads fitted to game consoles with loaded arcade games, juggling balls and “how to” guide, bean bags, ottomans, fresh juices, selection of fruit and daily newspapers. Delegates can ‘zone’ in and out to refresh their mind, encourage creativity, and refocus on business.
Mantra Hotels & Resorts have launched a dedicated conferencing website – www.mantraconferences.com – featuring the top nine conferencing properties from Mantra’s pool of 23 conferencing hotels and resorts across Australia. The nine featured offer the largest conference facilities in the Mantra network, and in addition to Mooloolaba include Mantra on Salt Beach in Kingscliff, Mantra Lorne on Victoria’s Great Ocean Road and Mantra Legends Hotel on the Gold Coast. |
