Mantra Group on track to give back to the Red Cross
June 22, 2012
Mantra Group are well on track to deliver a record fundraising contribution to Australian Red Cross – the Group’s community partner – following another round of successful fundraising.
The Gold Coast based accommodation group who operate the Peppers, Mantra and BreakFree hotel brands, are aiming to beat last year’s contribution of $75,000 for Australian Red Cross’ Good Start Breakfast Club program.
Gold Coast and Brisbane hotel regions recently joined forces for a trivia night extravaganza, raising more than $4500 through raffles and auctions – including the auction of Adam Taloni GM of Peppers Broadbeach who will be put to work by his colleagues! Pictured is Australian Red Cross representative Stephanie Allen, Mantra Group CEO Bob East and celebrity guest and tireless charity worker actress Paula Duncan (also known as the ‘Spray & Wipe lady’!) at the trivia night held at Mantra Legends on the Gold Coast.
This event, combined with a company cricket competition earlier this year which raised nearly $60,000, and the ‘Give it Up’ initiative which had Mantra Group employees give up a range of vices for the month of May raising over $4000, will be added to the Group’s overall contribution to Red Cross for the year with further fundraising initiatives to take place throughout 2012.
