A scheduled addition of a new state-of-the-art cruise ship, the unveiling of larger “super family cabins”, value cruise offers for all types of cruising clients and an increase in the number of stunning ports-of-call are among a host of impressive features in the 2012-2013 MSC Cruises (Australia and New Zealand) program.
Furthermore, over 150 cruise itineraries to 250 ports pack the brochure.
And good news for single passengers – the surcharge has been reduced by a massive 50 per cent on selected cabins, reduced by 100 per cent on suites as well as on the suites in the MSC Yacht Club, the cruise line’s six-star “ship within a ship”.
For even greater savings our single passengers can take advantage of the zero supplements on selected departures ex Genoa and Venice in 2013! Sensational savings for our many single travellers.
From the waters of both the West and East Mediterranean to Northern Europe, South America, South Africa, the Caribbean and the Red Sea, the itineraries of a record 13 cruise ships are included in the latest MSC Cruises program.
Taking a bow is the 140,000-tonne MSC Preziosa which will become the newest member of the MSC Cruises’ family when launched in Italy in March, 2013.
Her unveiling will come in the wake of the highly successful launch of similarly-sized and equally slick and contemporary MSC Divina, christened in a gala event in the French port of Marseille in May this year (2012).
As with previous naming ceremonies, MSC Divina was graced with the presence of the leading cruise line’s godmother, screen legend Sophia Loren, who officially named the new ship in her honour.
MSC Preziosa will join MSC Divina, MSC Splendida and MSC Fantasia as the fourth member in the MSC Fantasia Class which is characterised by having the exclusive MSC Yacht Club as an integral part of the design.
“This new brochure brings together stunning destinations, state-of-the-art ships, delicious dining options, great entertainment, warm Mediterranean hospitality and the art of relaxation and well-being,” said Lynne Clarke, managing director of MSC Cruises Australia and New Zealand.
“The authentic discovery of destinations that MSC Cruises provides for its guests starts here,” she said. “Colourful, clear and easy to navigate, the new brochure is packed with textual and visual information about the company’s state-of-the-art fleet of 13 ships, the elegant design by acclaimed naval architects De Jorio Design International.”
The 2012-2013 MSC Cruises brochure also takes readers on a tour of every aspect of the cruise line’s activities, from its partnership with UNICEF to its innovations in eco-friendly ship design, easy-to-use online services and the range of special promotions.
Among the new and updated sections is a double page feature dedicated to the MSC Group. Highlighting the group’s solidarity, strength, and above all its unrivalled experience of navigating the Mediterranean and the world’s oceans, it’s easy to see that guests will be travelling in the safe hands of true masters of the sea.
Additional sections for the 2012-2013 brochure include a double page spread illustrating MSC Cruises’ new and fascinating destinations of the French Antilles and the Red Sea, as well as the charming new ports in Europe, Saint Tropez on the Mediterranean sea and Constanta on the Black Sea.
A double page spread on MSC Preziosa has also been included to show guests exactly what they can look forward to after she is launched in Genoa.
The new Super Family Cabins, available on MSC Divina and MSC Preziosa, are spaciously designed to sleep up to six people and comprise two connecting triple cabins, two bathrooms and two balconies. Each of these cabins comes at a fixed per-cabin price – regardless of how many people actually use it.
A new and comprehensive section on special packages provides detailed information about the food and beverages, onboard ceremonies, and anniversary and relaxation packages which are offered.
Practical information on onboard safety, including details about languages spoken by MSC Cruises’ crew members has been included for guests’ peace of mind.
Rounding off the brochure is a general overview of all itinerary maps and a summary calendar for the 2012-2013 period. Organised by month and macro-destination, it offers at-a-glance information on which ships are sailing and which destinations they are visiting in any given month, designed for easy reference.
