NATURAL FOCUS SAFARIS ANNOUNCE THE IMMEDIATE RELEASE OF THEIR
NEW 2012 CANADA & ALASKA BROCHURE
Destination specialists Natural Focus Safaris have released their new Canada & Alaska brochure for 2012, showcasing the wholesaler’s extensive range of boutique wilderness experiences.
For 2012 cruising takes centre stage, with an extensive range of small ship cruises through Canada and Alaska’s Inside Passage on the west coast, the Maritime Provinces on the east coast and up north into the High Arctic such as Fox Basin and the Northwest Passage.
“This style of cruising fits in perfectly with the NFS brand of authentic, experiential travel” said Marketing Manager Praful Albuquerque. “These small ship cruises offer a range of soft adventures with professional expedition staff, but when clients return to the ship they can enjoy a relaxed onboard ambience, comfortable accommodation and great food.
The maneuverability of the smaller ships means that there is no better way to get close to glaciers, ice bergs, and wildlife such as whales, seals and bears.”
New for next year is the 8 day “Northern Passages & Glacier Bay” cruise through Alaska’s Inside Passage with InnerSea Discoveries. Travelling onboard the 76 passenger Wilderness Explorer, clients can travel by small skiff, kayak or on foot along the shore, accompanied by naturalist guides. The cruise sells from $3515 per person in a Trail Blazer cabin departing from Juneau via Glacier Bay National Park, Icy Strait, Chicago Island and Peril Strait to Sitka or vice versa.
Also new for 2012 is the exciting addition to American Safari Cruises’ flotilla of boats, with the launching of the 86 guests Safari Endeavour. This beautiful ship offers 4 cabin types and sails on a 15 day Itinerary from Seattle to Juneau via the famous Inside Passage. Departures on 27 May and 02 Sep 2012 sell for $6,485 per person in a Master Cabin.
NFS’s Rocky Mountaineer program includes the new intermediate level SilverLeaf Service which has been added to select Rocky Mountaineer rail journeys. SilverLeaf Service features a full length single level dome coach, and some additional services to RedLeaf Service.
A new wilderness lodge in the Yukon has been included for 2012. Tagish Wilderness Lodge is an intimate eco lodge on Tagish Lake which can be reached only by boat or floatplane. The lodge offers an authentic wilderness experience including wildlife viewing, canoeing and nature walks.
For true adventurers Natural Focus Safaris also have a new 8 day expedition with specialist operator Arctic Kingdom, who offers unique land-based expeditions in the Canadian Arctic. “Great Migrations of the Northwest Passage” departs from Ottawa and flies to a private expedition base camp on the floe edge.
