AN EVENING IN THE TROPICS WITH PEPPERS AND MASTERCHEF
Tropical North Queensland was treated to a feast extravaganza when MasterChef and Peppers teamed up in Palm Cove for a seven-course degustation dinner.
MasterChef winner, Adam Liaw teamed with Peppers Beach Club & Spa Palm Cove Executive Chef, Jira Chantra and Peppers Salt Resort & Spa Kingscliff Executive Chef, Reuben Radonich – who featured in a Masterclass episode at Seasons Restaurant in the latest series – to offer a spectacular menu that incorporated Thai influences with the region’s finest and freshest local produce. The menu included Char-grilled Prawn Cakes on Local Sugar Cane with Herb & Finger Lime, Aniseed Pork Belly Confit with Barley Malt Carrot Puree, Szechwan Duck Breast with Spatzle, and a show stopping dessert of Black Sticky Coconut Rice with Mareeba Mango Ravioli, Fresh Strawberries & Mint Caviar. Accompanying wines from Henschke, St Hallet and Tamar Ridge completed the taste sensation.
Catering to over 135 VIP guests and local travel industry at the candlelit poolside dining venue, the Peppers team showcased a spectacular setting which offered an intimate and relaxed tropical environment.
