A traditional landholders welcoming reception at Perth International Airport got proceedings for Qatar Airways’ debut services to Perth underway.
Qatar Airways was welcomed to Perth with open arms.
Perth Airport ceo Brad Geatches said “we have no doubt” Qatar Airways’ Perth route will be a success.
WA Minister for Tourism Kim Hames also welcomed Qatar Airways to Western Australia, saying the country shares some common values with the airline. WA is the second biggest exporter of natural gas in the world, beaten only by Qatar.
Al Akbar points out that the hanging signage at Perth Int’l Airport which states Qatar Airways flies to over 100 destinations needs to be updated. It should say 117 now
