ROCK TO ROCK RUN 2011 RM60,ooo Donated to Local Homes in Penang At Hard Rock, fun, partying and giving back to the community is what we care about. ‘Love All, Serve All’ and ‘Take Time to Be Kind’ were the core spirits behind the second Rock to Rock Run held at Hard Rock Hotel Penang on 13 November 2011. The run achieved a marvellous result once again, raising RM60,000 in cash and dry food products worth over RM2,000 for local charities. The local homes benefited from this event were Crystal Family Home and Association of Rehab of the Disabled. This year’s run received generous sponsorship from corporate and private organizations. AMD returned for the second year as the sole Diamond sponsor with a contribution of RM20,000. Listed under the Platinum Sponsors were the Lions Club of Penang Gold Coast, Penang Turf Club and Agilent Technologies, each with a minimum contribution of RM10,000. Other sponsors include Tropical Spice Garden, Rentokil, Brooks and Majlis Sukan Negeri Pulau Pinang. “Rock to Rock Run will be a major event which takes place at Hard Rock Hotel Penang every year. The main objective of this event is to get the community together to help local organizations in need,” said John Primmer, General Manager of Hard Rock Hotel Penang. Rock to Rock Run 2011 organized by Hard Rock Hotel Penang with the support from the Penang State Government, Penang Amateur Athletic Association (PAAA) and Majlis Sukan Negeri Pulau Pinang took place from 6.30am till 11.00am at Batu Ferringhi to Teluk Bahang. More than 1000 runners participated in this run |
