South African Tourism and Sun International partnered up with Tourism Portfolio and Eleanor Bloem of Travel Motives this group of professional conference and incentive organisers on a ‘Roar and Snore’ sleepover at Sydney’s Taronga Park Zoo. Participants spent the night under the stars in luxury tents after a night safari (and an Amarula nightcap) as well as a behind the scenes experience the next morning watching the animals being fed. Newly appointed gm of South African Tourism, Lalie Ngozi, said “Unfortunately we couldn’t bring the Big Five to Australia, so instead we were able to give our guests a sample of the safari experience, sleeping under the stars with the sounds of wildlife echoing in close distance”.
