Guests may speed through the Japanese countryside on a Bullet train, ride an elephant in Northern Thailand or witness the Giant Pandas up close in Chengdu, China. Also new for 2013, are additional experiences on the existing China tours. Guests now visit Wuzhen, a charming water town that displays its two-thousand-year history through ancient stone bridges, stone pathways, mottled walls and delicate wood carvings. There is also an additional night in Dazu, home of the World Heritage-listed caves that showcase a treasure trove of Buddhist carvings. Dating back to the 7th century, the carvings depict and are influenced by Buddhist, Confucian and Taoist stories and beliefs.
