Australia’s Top Rating Children’s Show Totally Wild recently did the Sigatoka River Safari, visiting the heart and soul of Fiji, filming along the mighty Sigatoka River and spending time with the people and particularly the children of Sautabu Village.
The show’s Melbourne based reporter, Natalie Hunter was accompanied by three crew all of who were equally in awe of the warm reception they received at the village.
With the villages rarely getting the opportunity to host a film crew and see all the unusual film equipment brought along by the Totally Wild team, the Sigatoka River Safari staff who accompanied the film crew were not sure who was more impressed with who.
“The children were amazed to see the different cameras and the boom mike, it’s something they don’t see everyday and the reaction they had to all this was captured on film as Natalie quickly made some new friends,” said Sylvia Waqabaca, Sales & Marketing Assistant .
Natalie experienced yaqona (kava) tasting, sampling the local food and spent a lot of time with the children.
