Luxury is back and travellers are spending big; Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) has enjoyed a continuation of the brand’s outstanding success in 2011 over the first quarter of 2012 with business up by almost 20%. Sustained growth has been visible in revenue, reservations, new hotel membership, partnerships, social media statistics and Club membership.
SLH has seen a 17% increase in revenue YTD when compared with the same period YTD in 2011 and a 12% increase in the number of room nights, with over 60,000 nights booked YTD in 2012. 12 new hotels joined the SLH portfolio in the first quarter of 2012 with significant growth in Greece and Austria, however Italy and France continue to rank as the most browsed destinations on slh.com.
