TravelManagers’ personal travel managers, invited by Chimu Adventures and Aerolineas Argentinas, took up almost half the spots on a recent famil for Australian travel agents to South America. The South American famil was a general educational tour taking in Brazil and Argentina and led by tour guide and native Peruvian, Julio Padilla.
Carolynne Cannon, a TravelManagers’ representative in Western Australia, says the tour was second to none.
“The trip has given me first-hand experience of high revenue and quality South American product, I can now on-sell that knowledge and inside information with confidence to my clients.
“I was very happy to see three of my nine travel companions were also part of the TravelManagers team which shows just how well our selling capacity as personal travel managers is regarded in the industry.”
TravelManagers’ General Manager, Michael Gazal, says the Group is enjoying the acknowledgement of their services and client base.
“Our home-based consultants now have access to large numbers of spaces on a wide variety of famil trips around the world. The fact that our personal travel managers can work from home and still access high-end educational tours is fundamental to our business and to their success. Their client mix is varied and it’s important they are aware of the latest destinations and travel products and that they can sell the big packages with as much authority and knowledge as the shorter, domestic packages.”
Carolynne Cannon says the trip has given her more confidence in her business.
“This just proves that working independently doesn’t have to be isolating or a barrier to the perks that you think employees of big travel firms usually get to enjoy. I’m thrilled I have these opportunities through TravelManagers and that obviously the industry internationally recognizes our capacity as personal travel managers to sell quality travel.”
Joining Cannon on the South American tour were Julie Lunn (TravelManagers Western Australia), Manuela Marques (TravelManagers Western Australia), Rosemary Kates (TravelManagers New South Wales), Consultants participating from other companies were: Danielle Fisher (Victoria), Sue Rigby (New South Wales), Matthew Tabone (Victoria), Hugh Tilley (Victoria), Rossemarie Nunez (Victoria) and Karen Seto (South Australia).
