Virgin Australia’s Brisbane-based engineers had a truly “money can’t buy” experience on Wednesday, 1 August 2012, when the Holden Racing Team (HRT), complete with transporter truck, race cars, drivers and crew, made a special appearance at the airline’s Virgin Australia’s maintenance hangar in Brisbane.
The day was all about reward and recognition for Virgin Australia’s engineering team, providing a unique opportunity to meet HRT drivers, James Courtney and Garth Tander, and to get up close and personal with HRT’s V8 race cars. More than 200 Virgin Australia engineers took part in the day; all leaving with a gift bag including of signed HRT merchandise and for a few lucky winners, tickets to this weekend’s round of the V8 Supercar Championship at Willowbank Raceway in Ipswich. |
