June 29, 2011
Recently The Africa Safari Co CEO Susie Potter headed up a management team to Indaba 2011 in Durban. This is South Africa’s premier trade show where deals are done for the upcoming year, new product discovered, training and updates on all things African. Susie was joined be Marketing Manager Wayne Hamilton and Office Manager Leanne Wild on their mission to South Africa.
One of the highlights was meeting Derek and Beverley Joubert from Great Plains, who own and manage properties in Botswana, Kenya and Tanzania. The Jouberts may be better known for their documentary work with National Geographic in Botswana. The couple have been filming in Botswana for many years and took some time out to share some of their stories with visitors to the show and also updating us on their products and services, said Susie Potter.
The Africa Safari Co will be donating a portion of all sales of Great Plains products to Lion conservation in Botswana.
Africa yet again has shown growth over the 10/11 financial year with both Botswana , Kenya and Tanzania showing the way. New products like the 4 day/3 night Selinda Canoe Safari in Botswan aalong the Selinda Spillway – the waterway linking Botswana’s Okavango Delta and Linyanti and Kwando water systems. This trip is the ideal setting for Botswana’s leading canoeing and walking safari, hosting a mere eight guests on each departure.Trips such as this are giving the traveller far more choice than ever before.
