TASTE Orange is what hundreds of Sydneysiders did last night when the NSW central west region turned Martin Place in the CBD into a huge, after-dark food and wine festival.
It was a prelude to its popular Wine Week celebration which runs in Orange from 17th to 27th October.
Twenty-two wine producers set up a ‘long table cellar’ door and kept the wine flowing while waiters served up some of the Orange District’s finest cuisine.
“These events pay off as we’ve grown our visitation in the past year by 37 percent,” said
Rhonda Sear, Executive Officer, Brand Orange.
She said Orange wines are becoming more prominent because of the many awards they are winning, and people want to visit the region to try them.
The two-day Taste Orange event, which goes from 5-7pm, ends tonight.
