We know Andrew Burnes is a powerful figure – but probably not as powerful as was implied in a story in The Australian today.
The report on the potential float of Burnes’ The AOT Group claims he was “appointed federal treasurer in June” – which would have probably come as a shock to former treasurer Joe Hockey as well as Tony Abbott and Scott Morrison MP.
For the record, Burnes was actually appointed as the treasurer of the Liberal Party. |

Flexibility is a core element of the new Swagman Tours range of independent touring options in India, managing director Wayne Hamilton stressed, with full control in travellers’ hands.
Passengers are encouraged to look through the destinations visited on any given itinerary and if they find one they like and wish to explore further, the ability to add an extra night or two is there.
Revealing the full brochured range exclusively to Travel Daily, Hamilton said he believed the guide contained many of the most popular options but with a Swagman twist.
“It’s not like a European coach tour where you have set departures and you have to go on this date. These are daily, you take out or add in what you like or you stick to the itinerary.” |

But come Mardi Gras next year, climbers will be dancing their way to the summit.

Climbers will be treated to a dance party of 1980’s classics through their headsets as they ascend the famous archway.
Guests will also be able to belt out their favourite hits via a karaoke machine positioned at 134 metres above sea level. |
