Travel Counsellors celebrates third anniversary day for agents
July 12, 2013
Travel Counsellors welcomed 19 of its agents to its Melbourne head office last week to celebrate their anniversaries as Travel Counsellors and the continuing growth of their businesses during their time with the company.
With anniversaries ranging from one to five years, the large group of Travel Counsellors were greeted with a champagne reception and linked up via webcam to the company’s international UK headquarters where they were thanked by Operations Director Karen Morris for their dedication and hard work. This is just one way that makes us stand out compared to other travel companies.
The attending Travel Counsellors were also part of the live audience at the company’s in-house TV studio for its weekly TCTV broadcast to the company’s agents across the country, with four of the agents appearing on the show to talk about their own personal insights and success stories of running their own successful travel businesses and the support and tools they receive from the company to do this.
Geelong based Travel Counsellor Carol Mills comments; “After being a Travel Counsellor for almost 6 years it was lovely to be invited back to head office to celebrate my anniversary along with 18 other agents. The day was informal and relaxed, and it was fantastic to have the opportunity to spend time at head office to see just how much support is provided to us and how great the team dynamics are. It’s also so lovely to be rewarded for my hard work in such a way and really reinforces to me why I joined the company. I thoroughly enjoyed it, it was the best one yet!
The group enjoyed a tour around the company’s head office, which was new in December and houses a growing team of staff dedicated to supporting the company’s Travel Counsellors in all areas of their businesses, including admin, IT, marketing and business development, to enable agents to focus solely on their customers. The agents were also given updates on the company’s technology and latest developments, including lots of marketing initiatives.
Travel Counsellors Australia’s Manager Tracy Parkinson comments; “This is our third anniversary day and it has proven a huge success, so much so we are looking to hold bi-annually next year. It was great that our Travel Counsellors got to revisit head office to spend time with our support team and see our new developments and also for us all to celebrate being 13% up on sales which is a stunning result, most importantly, we are all friends who tirelessly support each other to ensure that we all meet our goals.….so it made for a really special day.”
