Travel Counsellors congratulated its top performing ‘Gold Travel Counsellors’ by rewarding them with an exclusive ‘Gold Weekend’ trip to Abu Dhabi on 16-20 May. The company showed its gratitude for the vital role they have played in the company’s success over the last 12 months.
More than 100 Gold Travel Counsellors from Australia and the company’s overseas offices in the UK, Ireland, The Netherlands and South Africa attended the long weekend in Abu Dhabi. The weekend also saw 15 new Gold Travel Counsellors attending the annual event for the first time after attaining gold status this year.
Gold Travel Counsellor, Christine Jenkins comments: “It was an amazing trip and a great opportunity to celebrate the success of my business. As I work from home I really appreciate all the events head office hold throughout the year which enables me to spend time with fellow Travel Counsellors, directors and head office staff. Everyone is so friendly that it feels like meeting up with old friends! I am extremely proud of my achievements and am looking forward to what the year ahead may bring.”
The annual event was hosted at the exclusive Fairmont Bab Al Bahr hotel. During the weekend the agents were able to participate in a range of excursions which included visiting Yas Waterworld, Ferrari World, Yas Links Abu Dhabi Championship Golf Course and Yas Marina F1 Circuit. There was also a special Gala dinner on the Saturday evening hosted by the brand new 5* Ritz Carlton Abu Dhabi. The evening included an awards ceremony where the Travel Counsellors who had achieved Gold for the first time were presented with the honour.
Steve Byrne, Managing Director commented: “Celebrating the success and hard work of our Travel Counsellors is vitally important to us. So far this year, across the globe they’re doing fantastically with average earnings at a record high. The number hitting gold is also at the highest level ever – there are now 146 gold TC’s globally.
“The gold weekend is so special because Travel Counsellors from across the globe get a chance to meet up and share their experiences. This year was exceptional for many reasons, one being the tremendous hospitality shown to us by the hotels and suppliers we experienced. It’s a testament to the strength of our relationships with them that they went to lengths to ensure all our Travel Counsellors had a great time.”
Travel Counsellors have the opportunity to qualify for ‘Gold’ twice a year – in May or November. The decision as to whether they are awarded ‘Gold’ is based on sales figures for the previous 12 months. To succeed, consultants achieved commissions totalling $131,000 or more over 12 months. |
