Travel Counsellors Australia recently welcomed it’s most supportive suppliers from around Australia to a special ‘Christmas in July’ celebration at their St Kilda Rd head office, to thank them for their continued support and successful business relationships.
“We work together with some of the travel industry’s most professional and relationship driven suppliers, so we really wanted to thank them for all the support they have shown Travel Counsellors as a business and our individual TC’s, with various incentives, exclusive educational invites and training sessions,” comments Deb Duncan, Travel Counsellors General Manager. “We were overwhelmed by the immediate response from our suppliers to attend the evening of drinks and nibbles at our head office, particularly those that travelled down from interstate. It really was an evening of mutual respect and celebration of continued business success.”
The informal evening commenced with champagne on arrival, lots of Christmas cheer over warm winter canapés, complete with mince pies whilst enjoying the company of various head office staff who they liaise with on a regular basis. It also gave them chance to catch up with fellow suppliers in an intimate setting where the focus was on them as the ‘guests of honour’.
A short video was presented on the Net Promoter Scoring that Travel Counsellors use to measure customer loyalty, which emphasised the company’s commitment to building strong relationships with their clients and suppliers alike, along with snippets of each of the suppliers on their TCTV* debuts playing in the background.
Rachel Javier from TraveltheWorld commented “It was a most enjoyable evening and it was great to catch up with the fantastic team at Travel Counsellors Head Office and fellow suppliers, on a more social basis. It just reiterates how alike our companies are and what a pleasure it is to deal with such passionate, motivated and dedicated professionals. The video that was presented was very enlightening and inspiring.”
The suppliers were then treated to a surprise prize draw which ended the evening “It’s nice to be able to put the shoe on the other foot and thank our suppliers, as it’s normally them giving away the prizes. I think they loved being on the receiving end for a change, if the cheers in the room were anything to go by!” laughs Jonathan Garrett, Travel Counsellors Operations Team Leader.
