Travellers Choice CEO Christian Hunter and Marketing Manager Robyn Mitchell are pictured overlooking the mouth of Grand Harbour in Valletta, Malta, where earlier this week they attended the 2012 conference of Advantage Travel Centres, the UK’s largest independent travel group.
Travellers Choice has a close relationship with Advantage Travel Centres, and both groups are members of the Worldwide Independent Travel Network (WIN), a collection of like-minded, independent travel groups representing more than 6,000 travel agents.
The Malta conference provided the Travellers Choice leaders with an opportunity to hear from leading experts in a wide range of fields, including marketing, technology and consumer trends.
It also offered the chance to hear keynote speaker Bruce Dickinson, lead singer of legendary heavy metal band Iron Maiden. Besides fronting one of the world’s most successful rock bands, Dickenson is also a qualified commercial pilot who regularly flies Boeing 757s and a successful entrepreneur who recently built an aircraft maintenance company creating 1,500 jobs in Wales. He is also involved in an airship venture to manufacture drones.
