TravelManagers introduced a new award at their 2012 National Conference held in Fiji the weekend before last. Chief Executive Joe Araullo says the TravelManagers’ Spirit Award is open to any person within or outside the company.
“It was introduced to recognize someone who’s every day attitude and principles inspire the thoughts, feelings and action of the wider team at TravelManagers, they could be a member of our team, someone in the media or someone else in the travel industry such as a supplier or tourism organization.”
In its inaugural year the Spirit Award went to TravelManagers’ Head of Operations, Kim Wudko, who is based at the National Partnership Office in Sydney.
“Kim is one of those people who lives, breathes and reflects the heart and soul of TravelManagers. She has been with TravelManagers from the beginning and has been pivotal in developing, maintaining and enhancing TravelManagers unique culture. She is always proactive in assisting us as an organisation and I couldn’t think of a more deserving person.”
Wudko says the award is a huge honour.
“I absolutely love working for TravelManagers and I totally believe in what we are doing. Our personal travel managers are the best in the industry, they are a pleasure to work with and you can’t help but be positively affected by their passion for travel, their commitment to their clients and their determination to go the extra mile. This award means an incredible amount to me, particularly with it being its first year.”
