Featuring 16 new itineraries, 17 new insider experiences and a host of new travel styles, Travelmarvel’s new 2014 Canada & USA programme has more than doubled in size compared to last year. Latest additions in the new 2014 brochure, launched today, include Mississippi River cruising through America’s Deep South; new rail journeys onboard VIA Rail’s The Canadian and Alaska’s Scenic Railway; exclusive Insider Experiences such the chance to spot native wildlife; hand-picked accommodation; and two new Canadian Christmas itineraries.
Commenting on the huge growth in product, Debra Fox, APT General Manager Marketing, said, “We have experienced significant demand for Canada and the USA amongst our Travelmarvel customers to date so building on our early success we have expanded our offering to cater for this. Our new itineraries now cover the length and breadth of North America and we’ve worked hard to introduce lots of new and exciting travel styles that work in unison with the natural beauty of the surroundings our guests are touring.
“In addition, we have expanded our portfolio of Insider Experiences, splitting them into three distinct categories. Guests can live ‘like a local’ enjoying unique insights into the various local customs and cultures; enjoy our ‘special stays’ in exclusive and breathtaking hotels and surroundings; and enjoy ‘a taste of’ their destination through authentic culinary experiences – anything from a Canadian sugar shack, to an Amish dinner, a New York breakfast diner or a Napa Valley winery. We really do want our guests to enjoy the whole package,” said Debra Fox.
New features are peppered through the entire brochure. For example the popular 28 day Highlights of Eastern & Western Canada with Alaska Cruise from Toronto to Vancouver including Inside Passage via Niagara Falls, Ottawa, Quebec City, Montreal, Calgary and Banff offers guests four new Insider Experiences. These include a traditional First Nation dinner and dance performance in Ottawa, breakfast and bear spotting at Whistler Golf Course, a special stay at Station Touristique Duchesnay on the shores of Lac-Saint-Joseph including a black bear tour.
