Travelport has wrapped up a successful first ever Pacific Customer Conference at the Voyages Ayers Rock Resort (6-8 May) with around 70 of its top agents and customers from Australia and New Zealand.
Inspiring Travel was the theme of the conference, and travel agency customers heard from a range of speakers on what has inspired their success, including Graham “Skroo” Turner, CEO and MD of Flight Centre Limited, Bob Ansett, Budget Rent-a-Car Founder and International Best-Selling Author, and Jessica Watson, our youngest round the world, unassisted, solo sailor. A panel discussion was also held featuring Carl Frier of Cruise 1st, Jayson Westbury, CEO of AFTA, Alison Espley, Director for Australia and New Zealand of United Airlines and Shelley Beasley, COO of Webjet. Travelport’s VP and Regional Managing Director for the APAC region, Patrick Andres also addressed the conference on the many ways that Travelport is inspiring its customers in the Pacific and around the region with world-class solutions. Attendees had the opportunity to experience the latest technology first-hand with eight interactive booths set up showcasing the latest in travel innovation.
