Travelscene American Express continues fight against cancer
April 20, 2012
Cancer affects thousands of Australians every year, both directly and indirectly.
That’s why, for the third year in a row, Travelscene American Express Members across the country
are taking time out for a cuppa as part of the Network’s sponsorship of Cancer Council’s Australia’s
Biggest Morning Tea (ABMT).
With the official event date fast approaching on Thursday 24 May, Travelscene American Express
Members will be hosting morning teas throughout the month of May. The Network is also donating a
range of travel prizes in conjunction with Qantas – and you could be in it to win it!
“We are thrilled to once again be a key partner for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea and I am proud
of our collective contribution since we began officially supporting the event in 2010,” Travelscene
American Express General Manager Jacqui Timmins said.
“This year, Travelscene American Express Members are more determined than ever to help the
Cancer Council reach their overall goal of $11.5million. We are certain to see record numbers of
people involved in 2012 – which is why we have a range of great events, competitions and prizes up
for grabs!”
Launching soon will be a Travelscene American Express Facebook competition where Travelscene
American Express Facebook Fans can win a $500 Travelscene Gift Card. To enter, Fans simply
need to take a photo of themselves in the ‘I’m a little teapot pose’ wherever they are in the world
and complete the entry form via the Travelscene American Express Facebook page:
www.facebook.com/TravelsceneAustralia.
A trip to New Zealand is also up for grabs, and there are $500 Travelscene American Express Gift
Cards to be won by visiting a local Travelscene American Express Member throughout May, or by
going along to a morning tea event, making a gold coin donation and answering a short (and easy)
question!
“Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is an opportunity for Australia to get behind cancer research and
make a difference. Sadly one in two Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85, but
there is hope that one day we will crack the code,” said Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea
ambassador Barry du Bois.
